Basseer Jeawody on emotional well-being

whatever we have conflicts in the in the world we tend to talk a lot about the conflicts themselves like the bombing destruction of houses destruction of facilities and so on and so forth about 90% maybe more of conflicts are very much related to human factors the harm the damage the trauma we create to not just individuals but to groups to families and the community at large so my focus has been on the human factors also psychosocial needs you know like human needs and in any conflict what we have research is showing that large number of people more or less everyone is affected psycho socially experiencing what we call mental health problem depression post-traumatic stress disorder anxiety panic attacks and so on and so forth and these are very very long-lasting if we don't address this here and now then the society the nation will continuously suffer that's one message the second message I use the term yet regenexx the harm we causing ourselves the harm is not only caused by the war the harm is caused by people's attitude people's value system is triggered by competition is triggered by fighting for resources rather than fighting for happiness my message the second message is really we should be fighting for promoting happiness a flourishing society and we have to understand each other and not do any further harm otherwise everybody is going to lose out there is no winner in this thing we have to create a scenario whereby it's a win-win situation so at the moment it's a competition is going to be a lose-lose situation
