Eating While Traveling | Staying on Plan?

Eating While Traveling | Staying on Plan?

– So I’m in Nashville for the weekend with my brother and sister-in-law, and these kinds of little vacations used to really freak me out
because of all the food. So today I’m gonna tell
you what my new philosophy on eating while on
vacation, and spoiler alert, I don’t just look for all the vegetables. But if we haven’t met, I’m Taylor, but most people call me Tater Tot, which is not a diet-friendly food, but that’s okay because we
are about ditching your diets and loving and accepting your
body the way God made it. So let’s start from Day 1. Ditch your diet and accept
your body the way God made you. It’s the morning, we’re getting
ready to go to Nashville. Everyone’s still
sleeping, but I’m up early you can probably hear the coffee brewing, just getting coffee ready. Gonna make my oat milk
latte like I told you about in the homemade oat milk recipe, which you can link in the corner to watch ’cause I always start my day with that. Wanted to share some of
my favorite travel snacks for on the go so let’s share them with ya. I always go with One bars, love the new pumpkin spice right now because it’s pumpkin spice. And then I have these One Plant bars. So One Bar’s my favorite,
which I have in a minute. My husband can’t do dairy like I told you in the Dairy Free Milk Taste Test which is also linked in the corner. (beeping) And there’s the coffee machine. So they just came out with these and he loves this new banana
flavor, so I have that for him. And then I also love the normal One bars, which are whey-based dairy, so I always travel with
One bars or Rx bars for me. And now these One-based
plant bars for him, especially on the road. – Nashville! – Woo! (energetic music) Going into a weekend like this, eating used to terrify me. I would feel like I’m gonna
gain a million pounds, I had to Google all the menus before, and really figure out
what I was gonna eat. And now that I have food
freedom intuitive eating, I know that I don’t have to do that. I haven’t Googled anything, I have no idea where we’re gonna eat, we had biscuits for
breakfast at Level’s Cafe, and they’re famous for biscuits. We’re gonna have biscuits for dinner, and probably pulled pork and
a whole bunch of other things. And have cocktails
tonight, and that’s okay, because the stress of stressing
about all these things is so much worse for you than
just enjoying your weekend. And knowing that you can
go back to eating in a way that makes your body feel
good when you get back. And I always say choose
memories over macros, or counting macros, and that’s what we’re
gonna do this weekend. I’m gonna eat what I want,
eat what sounds good, and just enjoy without the stress and without guilt or shame. (energetic music) And that’s it. We’re getting ready to
head home from Nashville. Our hearts are full, our bellies are full, and we really focused on making memories over counting macros, because we only get one life, and what’s the point of living if we’re so focused on what we’re eating and worrying about what
it’s going to do to our body that we’re not creating amazing memories? So I hope you take this philosophy and put it into practice
for your next vacation, and in just your every day life, and I will see you in the next video.
