How Can We Timetable for Staff Wellbeing?

so a lot of our community who when they return to work many of them do want flexible working arrangements and often are up against the VFL sort of motto that they're trying to debunk of the time table won't accommodate that so I would like to be able to offer the people within our community some solutions or some questions to go back to their timetable ER with in order to enable them to make the choices in their work and their family balance that works for them it's about flexible timetable and looking at options opportunities that should be made available and I think with regards to flexible timetable in a lot of people who work part-time move out so being informed in arms will actually be able to have conversations back at school to look up options and ways of moving things forward that works for all members of staff by using FL we were able to put parameters in place so that with our flexible timetable we could do it sensitively as well so heads of year will never teach a lesson straight off there don't assembly also where staff requested perhaps for late start due to child care or we had somebody request an early finish one day for religious observance you can put that in it's done in seconds one thing that's been useful for me to learn today that as I was hoping the FL product does actually pull together into you know a single package a lot of the different problem-solving techniques that over the years I've had to evolve for myself and the issue about evolving them for myself is they work but they're not great in terms of succession planning I won't be timetabling forever the people that are coming up behind me in my school are working with me in my school for them to have a much more contemporary product that they can be using in a much more intuitive way rather than the old-fashioned stuff that I've been doing for years I think he's a fantastic opportunity and that's what I'll take forward so one of the things that we could take into account that we couldn't before was some with staff preferences so we could actually ask part-time staff would you prefer to move around and the children stay in the same or would you prefer the children to move around and you stay in your own room and it didn't matter what their response was we could change that for individual members of staff so people could really get what they want and I think it made them much happier he acted timetable can actually help reduce type t2 workload I never realized that before and it would be good to have the conversation to explore just how it could actually work and look at opportunities of making it happen for teachers who work full time like myself and who want to continue working full time and timetables can offer lots of smart solutions to reduce workload which is often one of the biggest thing that pushes teachers out of teaching and whether they've got families or not and if we're able to work smarter with our workload thanks to a clever timetabling then we're going to have a more sustainable career in the long term well it affects everyone doesn't it yes they're getting the best outcomes of the students but I think it's about improving working conditions for staff yes a good time table makes for a happy school absolutely because the teachers know what they're doing the kids know where they're going and you you're using your resources the Etta's took the best the best speaker yeah
