How I Live a Healthy Lifestyle as a Mom | What I Eat, Workouts, Supplements



hey guys welcome back to my channel so today's video is going to be more on my health and fitness lifestyle I'm going to be sharing a typical day of eating how I like to work out along with the supplements that I take this video is in partnership with herb and all of the supplements in today's video I got from herb and will be linked down in the description box below so how them Fitness are super super important to me and when I became a mom priorities definitely shifted but I've made sure to make health and fitness still a pretty high priority just because it makes me feel good it makes me feel healthy strong happy the list goes on so with all of that said let's get into the video so I can show you all of that fun stuff the first thing that I have in the morning is a smoothie and I like to add in collagen and a superfood powder I have been using the vital proteins collagen peptides which are great for skin hair nails joints and I also add in a superfoods powder this is from or gain I've been using this forever and it just kind of sets the tone for the rest of the day because it has a lot of fiber the superfoods vitamins I just feel like I'm getting in a lot of servings of fruits and vegetables I like to add frozen mango almond milk half a banana and chia seeds along with those two powders so what I like about herb is that they have like over 30,000 products like besides supplements I've gotten baby products beauty products it is a one-stop shop and they ship to over 150 countries and their customer service team provides support in like ten languages so wherever you are you can get what you need so my smoothie is what I consider my first breakfast I wake up really early in the morning so I like to have that and then a little bit later I will go ahead and have a second breakfast so for that I've really been enjoying scrambles lately today I'm adding butter bell pepper onion and mushrooms I like to saute my veggies a little bit before I add in the egg and I also like to add a sprinkle of cheese as well I've mentioned this before but I had such a food aversion to eggs when I was pregnant and shortly after giving birth to Jack's so I'm all aboard the egg train now that I can eat them again but they always have to be scrambled so this is a second breakfast and I always like to add some avocado on top as well as some salsa now a little bit later around mid-morning I will go ahead and have a R as my pre-workout snack Europe has a ton of different protein and snack bars that you can choose from but lately I've been loving the Mojo sweet and salty bars by cliff I think it's the perfect little snack to have right for a workouts so a little bit after I have my pre-workout snack I will also take a pre-workout supplement this is the optimum nutrition and pre-workout in the pineapple flavor which is really really good it doesn't taste like acidic in any way I know some pre workouts can but I was so excited to take pre workout again because when I was pregnant and breastfeeding I could not have pre workout and I really like to have it on those days when you just need a little extra um a little extra pep in your step a little extra drive to get to the gym or to get your workout done so this is what I will have about 20 to 30 minutes before a workout at this time I'll also get my water ready for during my workout I like to add a BCAAs to my water so these are the optimum nutrition Pro BCAAs in the raspberry lemonade flavor these not only help with my endurance during my workouts but they also kickstart the muscle recovery process which is always a good thing after an intense work now as far as my workouts go I juice tend to stick to the gym it is my happy place it's my knee time I find being surrounded by other people super motivating so I do like to go to the gym a lot and the great thing is they have an awesome child care and I can always check in and see what Jackson is doing on the TVs I usually do a mix of strength training and cardio when I'm at the gym I really do like doing cardio because I get to do emails and watch youtube videos and again to have that little me time by myself while getting a sweat on as well so that is my typical routine when I go to a gym and as far as workouts outside of the gym I do like to go on hikes now that the whether is nicer and it's great because Jackson can come with me I just pop them in my carrier and wear him on my back it is a little nerve-wracking taking him on hikes because I can be a little clumsy so I like to pick trails that aren't too hard or too slippery or anything like that cuz I don't want to get hurt and I more importantly don't want to hurt him I really like hiking because it's something that gets me out of the house it switches up the scenery and it's something that I can bring Jackson along for which has always been a goal of mine as I became a mom to include my son in as many healthy activities as possible because I want him to continue to lead a healthy lifestyle and hopefully I can help spark his interest in different activities that he can do now there is always the stay-at-home workout from home option which I tend to have a hard time with because I can't seem to really stay super motivated when I'm on my own in my house like I always feel like there's something else to do so I really only work out from home when I'm in a time crunch or really can't get out the door so I'll either work out well Jackson is napping or I'll work out when he is awake which can be super distracting but a lot of the times he finds my exercise is super entertaining like these mountain climbers here he was cracking up while I was doing them so I think it's really fun to incorporate him in these at home workouts but like I said he can be super distracting because he is so cute after whatever workout I choose I will have a protein shake this is the organic creamy chocolate fudge and if I'm in a time crunch I'll just add it to water and shake it up in a blender bottle but you can also put it into a smoothie with like almond milk or peanut butter or bananas whatever you want iron has a ton of organ products and I've been using them for years it was a protein that I knew I wanted to take while I was pregnant because I liked the ingredients so that is my post-workout shake and shortly after that I will have my lunch my lunch is usually not super big I feel like I'm either really busy or just don't have the appetite for a big lunch so I'll have some things on the small side today I'm having my homemade chicken noodle soup I had some leftovers of it so I just heated it up and that the microwave it's basically egg noodles chicken carrots celery and onion I believe and much later it is time for dinner so Matt and I usually like to pick our veggies for the night along with a protein tonight we chose zucchini squash some red potatoes which I like to drizzle with olive oil and then season with seasoning salt and black pepper I love roasted veggies so that's usually how I cook them and then as far as the chicken breasts go we just use some salt and pepper and olive oil and that is
