My Personal Hygiene and Grooming Practices (With Full Autobrush Review)

My Personal Hygiene and Grooming Practices (With Full Autobrush Review)

hey guys so I don't normally make informational videos but this this particular subject is something that I haven't really seen on YouTube yet and so that's why I'm making this informational video today the subject for today is personal hygiene specifically dental hygiene and personal hygiene and grooming is very important to me something I spend a lot of time on sometimes I can be very OCD about it actually spend too much time on it to be honest but but yeah for today I'm gonna be talking about my grooming habits and specifically when it comes to my teeth but then I'll also show you guys just kind of how much I put into the rest of my body also just to prove to you that I really do care about the subject so I'm I don't know what makes somebody a professional but I definitely know what I'm talking about when it comes to this stuff so the subject for today though we're gonna start off talking about our teeth so my teeth originally were pretty jacked up I had what was called a class three when I saw the orthodontist which means I had a cross bite or an under bite and so when my teeth came together you can see it now the top ones these two weren't underneath the bottom ones and here's a picture of what it looked like right after I got my braces put on so as you can see from that picture my teeth were really messed up I had to wear what was called a bite plate on my bottom and it prevented my top teeth from from going beneath the the bottom once and it threw the braces and threw all the about $5,000 worth of 5000 or 6000 that my parents paid to get my teeth fixed thank you mom and dad very much now I have beautiful straight teeth and so it's very important to me to maintain my dental hygiene on that basis I always have even when my teeth are more jacked up that was something my mom always taught me growing up brush your teeth every night she didn't really push flossing at first but now I got into flossing I got into everything so I take dental hygiene very seriously so that being said I'm going to talk briefly about my routine and what I've done to kind of maintain my my dental health so originally originally I would brush my teeth every night with generic you know standard tooth bases of Colgate says teeth whitening advanced whitening and and you know a basic tooth brush you know you don't want to use can you say this first off of that do not use anything more than a soft or extra soft bristle bristle brush these the bristles on these things can destroy your teeth you guys and also on that same note you got to replace these every three months if you don't see that little blue thing it actually shows you when to replace it if the blue thing looks frayed then it's time to replace your toothbrush and the reason is is that after a while about three months the bristles will become so sharp if they'll actually scrape off the enamel on your teeth the enamel is the naturally protective coat on our teeth that helps our teeth stay white and and healthy so we want the enamel we want to brush off the plaque and we want to prevent tartar which is like the stage of plaque that comes if you don't deal with it that's like harder to get off plaque only the dentist can get off tartar from your teeth so you want to get off all the plaque now brushing your teeth of the regular toothbrush like this you have to have the proper technique and I've heard so many different well at least like three different methods of brushing your teeth when I was a child as a youngest child I remember they told me use circles so go all around and use circles right on the back on the front the back and then back and forth to get the bottom then they told me no that's all wrong you're hurting your enamel don't don't do that just do these strokes from top to bottom on the top so down and from bottom to top on the on the bottom so the direction that's going away from the gums brush that way so I did that for a while and then they told me no no that's all wrong and then they said no go you got to do kind of in between that you got to go down but in a circle it's very complicated brushing your teeth properly and I would hear this because people would tell me you need to be brushing better and I already spent so much time brushing my teeth when I was younger I had a serious like OCD problem and it's not a severe now but I would spend like probably at least 15 minutes or more brushing my teeth just brushing my teeth that's it I haven't done that in years but this was when I was younger because I really cared about taking care of my teeth so I got to a point where I was like I'm done with this traditional brush I don't want to deal with it anymore I'm so the only thing I use this for now is cleaning my retainer which I'll talk about in a minute and retainers are very important if you have braces because they're how you maintain the straightness of your teeth I have so I'll just talk about that for a second since we're on it so I have to attainers now a permanent retainer from my bottom you can't see it but behind there there's a metal bracket that goes from here to here behind my bottom teeth and so that keeps these bottom teeth straight and I don't have to have a regular retainer that you take in and out now I have heard just a caution with these that these can mess up your teeth so I actually will ask my dentist I've asked I asked her last time I saw her is it okay like should I get this taken off I'm thinking about getting a regular removable bottom attain err and she said it's fine right now so and it's convenient because then I don't have to have a removable one for the bottom but flossing it's important because I have that bottom retainer I have to use what's called super floss and it you string it in through the bottom of the teeth and you clean where the gums are that's where you want to floss so I have to use the super floss for this section right here it's just kind of annoying but you know I've gotten used to it I've been doing it for so many years now years and years ago I started flossing about five years ago when my dentist told me that it could prevent heart disease and a bunch of other health problems in addition to taking care of my gums and you don't want to get to a situation where you have bad gum health part of dental health is that your gums are okay and which is why I started putting more attention into flossing and and even learning how to floss it's very important to okay so on the subject of retainers I like the Invisalign one and that's what I've been using I don't know if you can really see it here but basically they told me to start using this one at the dentist they told me I grind my teeth when I sleep and this prevents the grinding if you grind your teeth your teeth will slowly chip away at each other so this prevents me from doing that and and yeah so I you could buy a bite guard but a bite guard is not the same as a retainer so I just wear this instead of a retainer and a bite guard but in any case how do you clean a retainer it's important question they'll tell you at the orthodontist and dentist just brush your retainer like you would brush your teeth don't do that I'm telling you in advance I did this for years I had a retainer before this it absolutely destroyed it because I brushed it with toothpaste every single day your teeth are designed in such a way that you want to have toothpaste you want to have this the chemicals that are in here to get the plaque off your teeth because they're organic they're the part of your body this is not organic this is plastic this retainer and even if you have a regular retainer that has the non Invisalign but the metal one has the bar and everything you don't want to brush that what you want to do well okay you do want to brush it but don't use toothpaste that's the that's the key thing don't use toothpaste use liquid soap preferably one that's gentle like a foam a hand foam soap is what I use this one is what I use here and just be advised with this also you can only use foam soap with a foam soap pump if you try to put soap like this foam soap into a regular pump it'll just come out way watered down because foam soap is extra water down and it uses an air chamber in the pump to create the foaming effect but it's very gentle it's it's not as concentrated so it's really good before cleaning your retainer and it keeps it I started brushing this one originally I've had it now for about three years and you can see it's still you know it's it's dirtier than it was in the beginning but it's still holding together pretty nicely and so I would highly recommend for those of you that have retainers and you clean them brush them with a gentle liquid soap preferably like a foaming foaming soap and then just rinse them out and that'll be just fine it'll get all the plaque off of them they're not like your teeth they don't need toothpaste and we don't want to brush our teeth with soap that's why we use up do face would be pretty disgusting all right so that is cleaning retainers now let's talk about flossing so every night you only have to floss once a day you can do it more than once but once a day is enough for me I will floss and you can use special flossing tools that they sell like the I forget what they're called they're like a u-shape and there's like a little line on them I don't have any on me right now but my mom still uses that and others and it's better than nothing like if that's all you're gonna do do that better than not flossing at all but I highly recommend if you're gonna floss use traditional string floss yeah it's a pain you know you got to pull it out get the right amount but you get used to it and it's it's the best way to floss the proper way to floss you make a c-shape around the tooth and you go down to touch the gum and then up and then on the other side make a c-shape in the opposite direction you don't want to go straight so you want to make that C shape around your tooth when you floss and the reason is if you go straight you're not getting all the all the plaque that's between your teeth the point of flossing is that when you brush you're not going to get the plaque that's between your teeth and where your gums are there you're only gonna get the plaque that's in on the fronts and backs of your teeth on the surface area so that's why flossing is so important now again if you have a permanent retainer or braces you need to use this super floss and you string it in the gum area at the top run it through and then you grab it on the other side and then floss like I said with a c-shape and then you pull it out and you got to do it it's really annoying when I have braces I didn't floss I'll be honest with you and it worked out fine for me but but now I floss all the time because that my dental hygiene is very important to me now be aware of being too aggressive when you're cleaning your teeth this is a very uncommon problem probably more for perfectionistic people like me if you're watching this far into the video you probably are so so don't be too aggressive when you brush like don't be too hard because it's bad for your gums and it's bad for your teeth if you're brushing you rub the enamel off your teeth you don't want to do that you want to be just the right amount to get the plaque off and to you know keep your gums healthy but to not overdo it and hurt yourself okay now if you want to go next level you wanna really like expert in your dental hygiene after you floss you do what's called water picking or water flossing you get one of these things here it's called a water pick or a water flosser and this comes out you fill this with water all the way up to the top here with warm water and then you turn it on and you have the settings set to floss there's other settings on this and then whatever you can handle I would start off with a lower number I don't know if you can see there's different numbers on this thing and I have mine on eight now because I'm kind of used to it but the higher the number the stronger the water pressure is what this does is it drains the tank and it shoots water through this little device here and you stick it in between where your gum and your and your the bottom of your teeth are at the top so you between your gum and your where your gum and your teeth meet and then the water sprays in that area and it actually goes deeper than regular flossing however you can't use this to replace regular flossing or you're not supposed to maybe you can maybe it'll be fine if you want to I guess if you're gonna spend money on this you might as well drive if you want to but I do both because they recommend you should do both it should floss that gets the basic stuff and then this will go even deeper and give the invisible plaque you can even see to make sure your gums are extra clean so after I floss and water floss then I will brush my teeth as I said earlier I got sick and tired of brushing my teeth for the regular way it was just too complicated it felt like I was never doing it right there wasn't good enough so I switched to a Sonicare an electric electric toothbrush and this has worked very well for me in two minutes at times you you can brush all your teeth so it drastically cut back on the time I was spending rushing my teeth and it cleans your teeth very well there's different settings there's a clean setting the massage setting I can see that and the a sensitive setting which I was using the sensitive because I tend to just press too hard it's initially that I have so this is so you don't want to press too hard because you rub the enamel off and anyway you still have to replace the brush head every three months just to make sure that the it's not cutting away at your enamel after that but but it's really great in two minutes that brushes your teeth it's set by quadrants so you spend 30 seconds per quadrant on your four quadrants this quadrant one two three four and then that's it and during each set of 30 seconds you spend about 10 seconds on each surface 10 seconds there 10 seconds there ten seconds on the back on the tops the fronts and the backs ten seconds each and you do want to spend more time when you're brushing the teeth maybe it's easier to spend more time on the front but you want to spend more time on the back because that's usually where most plaque is going to collect there now I'm making this video because so after I finished doing that I put my retainer in I always clean my retainer in the morning it's just easier like with a foam soap and everything I put my retainer in I go to bed and then done and so it got down to a point where now to brush my teeth no more probably maximum ten minutes with all that I just described to you the water picking the water picking takes about two and a half minutes to do that when you fill the thing of water and it drains two and a half minutes water picking about five minutes flossing takes the longest for me maybe it shouldn't but I just make sure I get every one five minutes flossing and two minutes with this so total is about 10 minutes brushing my teeth there's still a long time at night so for me if there was a way somebody told me there's a way for you to spend even less time brushing your teeth and it can be more effective I would say absolutely that so let's please let's do that and so that's what I saw advertised on either Facebook or Instagram I can't remember now an advertisement for what I'm talking about today the auto brush the auto brush now what is the auto brush for those of you that haven't heard of it the auto brush is basically this device that you see here in front of you and what it is is basically this thing that you put in your mouth you could think of it as like a bite guard and you put it in your mouth like this and then you bite down on it and you turn it on and it brushes your teeth for you basically you don't have to do anything and how long does it take 15 seconds fifteen seconds not two minutes 15 seconds so and how does it work so well does this really clean my teeth and that's been my question does this really clean your teeth well if you look at it I don't know how well you can see how well my camera's showing you here but it has bristles that are made of silicon basically very gentle rubber but also one that will finis firm it will clean your teeth and they're angled at that perfect 45 degree angle that's another thing they tell you when you're brushing with a regular brush you've got to have a 45 degree angle so they anchor perfectly at that 45 degree angle and there's bristles on the bottom that will get the bottoms of your teeth I don't know if you can see them but they run along the bottom there there's bristles on the side on multiple levels you can see there's like two layers of them there's one that will get toward the top and then one that will get more in the middle and the bottom and then there's even a final row there's actually three rows of bristles that are at the 45 degree angle and then there's a row at the very bottom so it's it covers every area of your teeth all at once both the top and the bottom so when you put it in and turn it on it's getting everywhere all at once and so it should be cleaning your teeth on top of all that this right here when you turn it on it likes blue I don't know if you can see and it's supposed to whiten your teeth at least affirm your teeth at the same time that it's cleaning them every single time I don't know much about teeth whitening so I won't even try to pretend that I do but if that's true how cool is that I'm kind of a skeptic when it comes to products because everybody's always to sell you something another cool feature about the auto brush is the charging pad now so how do you charge this thing obviously if it runs on a magnetic battery-powered charger when you turn it on as I showed in the other video it has three different settings the first setting is I believe the normal one I believe it's the strongest vibrating one so the other two are like for more sensitivity now the auto brush how do you charge it it comes with a charging pad you get it and a little USB charger cable that connects to the charging pad as you can see here and this is the magnetic charger part of it and what you do is you just put it you can put it either way on the charging pad and the magnets connect as you can see there's two here but there's four here so you can put it on either side and put it this way with the charging pad facing away from you or toward you or you can put it the opposite way with like that so you can put it on the charging pad either way and as long as it's plugged in a little red light will flash and that shows you that it's charging now one thing it does not include is one of these because it's a USB charger so it doesn't come with a plug like I'm les you're gonna plug this into your computer while it's on and charge this in your computer but but more than likely you're gonna want to use one of these iPhone or whatever you call on you know what you call these things one of these doohickeys you gotta you got to plug that into there and then you can plug it into the wall it'll it will charge for you now auto brush you can use it with a regular toothpaste but if you do you have to use some water put some water rub it in your fingers put it on the bristles and then put some you have to wet this first so the toothpaste gets spread evenly that's important or you can buy their foaming toothpaste and you take this guy off and you pump pumps foam it doesn't specify any instructions when I bought this thing how much you're supposed to use so I just did one pump on each side and then one pump in the middle and then I spread it in with my finger and I do that on both sides I've been using the auto brush for a week now and it seems like after I run my mouth feels fresh it seems like my teeth are clean it's not overdoing it it's like just enough I'm very happy with it I love this thing and I bought this Auto brush from their official website the auto brush website I'll put a link in the description you can also tho get it on Amazon I believe it's the same product for half the price so if I were you I would do that I'll put a link to that as well but the big question in all this is does this work does it work and that's why I'm making this video so what I'm gonna do today I am going to use some of these plaque revealing things you put these tablets in your mouth and it shows where all the plaque is in your teeth and so it kind of helps you know how to brush better that's the point and then I'm gonna do my whole routine I'm gonna floss with a regular floss and my super floss and then I will Waterpik as I showed you and then after all that I will use the auto brush which is what I've been doing I haven't been using my Sonicare anymore I've been using the auto brush and then I will know does the auto brush really clean your teeth and you will know also and I have not seen anybody else on YouTube make this sort of video yet I know mine is pretty long I'm gonna do an edited version and then you can see the full version later but but yeah so does the auto brush clean your teeth let's find out so I have now eaten all my meals for the day and I've done nothing to clean my teeth here they are let's see okay now of course plaque and tartar are white and so they don't normally show up you can't really see them you kind of have to just know where they are but that's what these are for these plaque revealing tablets will I'll put one in my mouth now the instructions say you're supposed to brush teeth and clean interdental ewwww I don't really know what that means but and then I'm assuming supposed to brush first and then she one and see what plaque left over what I'm gonna do just to see how well I get rid of all the plaque I'm not going to brush at all I'm gonna take one of these tablets now chew it and then it says to rinse my mouth out a little bit and any stain that is red is plaque that is new and blue is plaque that is old and so I'll show you what the plaque looks like on my teeth and I will do my whole routine that I talked about and then we'll see how well it does so here I have the plaque tablet I'm supposed to chew it and rinse out the residue and with water and then what's left will be the plaque that's in my teeth tastes like bubble gum I said do not swallow ooh mmm delicious you guys look at that oh well that is blue okay so it says this is to rinse out a little bit more all right so as you can see guys this is my teeth now that I've rinsed them out and I put the plaque thing in so it shows where all the plaque is this is before cleaning my teeth and this is in my bathroom so Lighting's not good so now I'll show you in my studio with Lighting's better hey guys so I put the plaque thing in my teeth and rinsed it out according to the instructions and so the remaining color on my teeth is showing all the plaque that's on my teeth right now after not rushing for a day and eating lots of things like a hamburger french fries you know a bunch of candy today a chocolate and cookies and a bunch of junk so this is all that you can see it all right so that's before my whole routine so now I'm going to go floss just regular floss and then I'll show you and then I'll Waterpik and I'll show you and then finally I'll use the auto brush and I'll show you how that does alright guys so now I'm just gonna floss my regular floss and we'll see how much how much of the plaque gets removed just from regular flossing all right it's here we go okay guys so now I just finished my regular flossing it's kind of turn my floss pink okay so now I'm gonna do my super floss so oops my super floss we'll be able to get all the little areas here that you can see I can see I don't know he can see cuz lighting in here is terrible but already it's a lot cleaner but you could see this it is less clean because I still need a super gloss so now I'll do that so this is after just flossing as you can see it looks a whole lot better even just this is just flossing flossing with the c-shape in between each tooth yeah but there's still some flack on there and if you'll notice there's more on the bottom here I don't know if you can see it's kind of tricky to show you but that's because I haven't done my super floss yet so now I'm going to do my super floss and then I'm gonna Water Pik and I'll show you what it's like after I super floss and Water Pik all right here we go super floss so this is just after the super floss much better on the bottom seem much better alright now it's time now it's time to Water Pik alright so my water pick right down here you probably can't see it but I pull it on up here and I turn it on and here we go we're gonna Water Pik actually I'm going to take these off first and then we'll Water Pik all right it's time to Water Pik now when you turn on the water pick you want to make sure there's a little on/off switch on here you want to make sure you keep it on/off because when you turn it on when I turn this one on it's gonna start spraying water out of this really fast it's gonna make a huge mess if you're not careful so we gotta do is keep this off that loud noise that you hear that's the water pick I just turn it on I'll turn it off so you turn the switch on here on make sure this is off when you do that otherwise they'll start spraying water automatically so you turn it on and then put this in your mouth position it at the gum line or the gums and teeth meet and then follow along getting the fronts and the backs behind and it flosses with a jet stream of water for you so you turn it on in your mouth and then turn it off that way it doesn't spray everywhere because if you're not careful with this thing it'll make a huge mess so now I'm finished water picking as you can see or hopefully you can see the lighting in here is just really bad even with just this is just flossing I know it's very in-depth flossing like this is pro level flossing but just flossing with a super floss to get because of my Permanente nur which I told you guys about and water picking that alone most of the plaque is like totally gone just from that so I do all that before the auto brush so now I'm gonna go get the auto brush and then I'll show you how it looks after that but first before I do that let me show you what this looks like in my studio lighting so you can see a little better okay guys so I like I showed you I just finished water picking and before that super flossing and just with those things look at how much cleaner in my teeth look now so already they look like they look clean basically and this is because I put so much effort into flossing and this is I have not brushed my teeth at all at all in any way I having traditional brushed I haven't used the sonic hair and I haven't put the auto brush in yet so now after I did all this flossing now I'm going to use the auto breath so let's see does the auto brush does the auto brush with the toothpaste that they give you the foaming toothpaste clean your teeth now they say you can use like I said a regular toothpaste you have to wet this first and put the toothpaste on your finger and spread it out on both sides but you can use your own toothpaste I just chose to try out their foaming toothpaste for our purposes here okay guys here we are here's my auto brush with the foaming toothpaste and now what I do is to show you guys there's the front and the back I'm gonna put it in like that I take two these foam squirts come on there one there on both the sides and then one in the center and I do this on both sides there and then take a little excess on the thumb there and I rub it around and I make sure I cover all this so let's spread evenly let's get that bit there and then do the same on the other side you can see just make sure it's all over bristles now I'll tell you if you look at the reviews on amazon in other places some people will tell you this doesn't reach all the way back for my teeth it does i had my wisdom teeth removed so it reaches just fine for me but if you feel like it's not reaching far enough you can move it around in your mouth like you would a mouthpiece or whatever i'm moving your jaw back and forth or side to side and that will get it to all your teeth or you could always just brush your back teeth with a regular toothbrush you wanted to now what I'm wondering is is it okay to just let this thing do its thing it's supposed to if you turn it on this thing has flea modes so the first mode I believe is the regular mode just leave it in for 15 seconds in that mode that should clean your teeth but the other two modes I think are for more sensitive teeth it's a little it's still vibration it vibrates that's a little lighter vibration and the blue line will light up which is supposed to whiten my teeth okay so let's put it in and here we go I'm gonna do it on the regular mode for 15 seconds I'll count right here with you and I'll show you my teeth so here they are before honestly they already look so clean from the flossing but we'll see if you can see a difference okay here we go and just like that my teeth should be clean let's see I do still see a tiny little bit you can't see it coz lighting so that it's a little bit of kink right here but I could tell just from spitting there that it got a bunch of the pink out so it definitely did did clean my teeth what I'll do now is I'll do it again and I'll move it back and forth of my mouth and Lindsay that makes a difference make sure when you bite down the bristles are evenly spread out on the fronts and the backs and more pink came out there and so that does look look a bit cleaner so just from looking at it here before I even go into the studio I'll tell you it's clear that this does clean your teeth but if you don't floss this was to be all that you do you know floss it's not gonna be enough to get all the black out of your deep but I think so far I'm just looking at it if you floss and you do this it should be enough honestly the way the way that I brush with a sonic hair it's no wonder they told me it's been hurting my enamel this is enough this is enough for just brushing the surfaces of your teeth I think all right so now I'll go back to the studio and we'll see what it looks like from there okay so now we use the auto brush as you saw and here my teeth so pretty clean I'm not really sure if there's much of a difference either with my naked I couldn't really see that much of a difference before and after using the auto brush the dramatic difference was before and after flossing with the regular floss and with the Waterpik those things were really effective in removing the plaque way more than I expected them to be so but does the auto brush clean your teeth the turn or a big question I think that if you're flossing like I do and that and and the water picking yes this this cleans your teeth it takes care of the rest of the surfaces of your teeth and I mean there was that one pink spot I don't know he can see it somewhere around there but um when I'm gonna go brush that off just with my sonic hair just lightly but you don't want to remove the enamel of your teeth you don't want to over brush your teeth you can do that I think this is very gentle on teeth and I think it also does clean teeth I use the foaming toothpaste with it I'm sure it would work just as well maybe even better with different toothpastes as long as you evenly distribute it into all the areas now this is the last thing I'm gonna say about this about this this little review I'm doing auto brush the company is not paying me to make this video I'm doing it on my own because I think that if this really is legit if this really cleans your teeth and it's kind of debated if you look at the Amazon reviews most well most reviews I saw said yes it cleans your teeth it works great I love it and I can tell it cleans your teeth it definitely cleans your teeth the question is how well does a clean your teeth can you not use a toothbrush and just use this I think if you're flossing you're doing everything else you need to do yes absolutely based on just what I've seen here and I've been using this for a week now and my teeth have felt clean every every time I'm done using it just like I brushed and it also helps me not to over brush the case is somebody like me and hurt my enamel now if all you're gonna do is brush your teeth you're not gonna floss I'm not sure this would be enough but I'm anything regular brushing is enough because you're missing all the Middle's of your teeth you really gotta floss you guys just what it comes down to but my point they're not paying me to make this I just think this is awesome it's a great way to get rid of your Sonicare toothbrush get rid of your toothbrushes just use this thing to brush your teeth it does it for you in 15 seconds it's gentle it's not too abrasive the bristles reach everywhere I think it's awesome link in the description I recommend it now also another disclaimer about me I don't trust people even if they're so-called professionals like there's a lot of dentists out there and other people in the cosmetic world dental cosmetic everywhere they're always gonna try to scam you everybody always wants your money this world's about money all the time always so I'm not making this video for money I don't have ads turned on that I'm aware of on my videos right now it's completely nonprofit I'm just doing this because I'm curious for myself can I use this to replace my toothbrush and if I can I will because I think is awesome so and again auto brush is not paying me this is just me saying that and just be advised with every product you buy I I was really skeptical about this just because number one it seemed too good to be true it's just awesome you don't need a toothbrush you can just use this pop it in your mouth for 15 seconds and it cleans your teeth so I was skeptical for that reason because it seemed too good to be true but also because I saw the ad for it for the first time on either Instagram or Facebook I can't remember and if you see something advertised on Instagram or Facebook you see all sorts of things advertised you should be skeptical like this is a good reason to test it out I also tried to research if this was approved by the American Dental Association I'm sure if you're into teeth stuff you've heard of that couldn't find anything on it I think this just came out last summer summer of 2018 so it's fairly new I think they're still evaluating the effectiveness of this at a scientific level or whatever but as far as I can tell with a plaque thing that I did it works I think I'll close this video out I'm gonna do it one more time I'm going to put another plaque tablet in I'll show you guys and I'm just gonna use the auto brush to to brush the plaque out without any floss or anything else and we'll see how that goes okay guys so here are my teeth after taking another one of the plaque tablets and rinsing my mouth out here's all the plaque according to the thing I mean I don't really even know how these things work I'm not a scientist so I can't say for sure but here it is obviously it's a lot less than it was the first time because I hadn't cleaned my teeth at all the first time now I'm not gonna floss or do anything else I'm just gonna use the auto brush with the foaming toothpaste same way I did last time I'll go ahead and do it in front of you guys one squirt here one squirt here it was yes – cuz that one didn't come out right the first time one squirt here rub it in with my finger all around sync here here here now I like the foaming toothpaste thing you guys but there's a notice on there that says it's only supposed to last 30 days I'm not down with that that thing costs $10 I'm not gonna spend 120 dollars a year on foaming toothpaste so I'm probably gonna try using this with regular toothpaste and maybe I'll make another video later just letting you know how that goes but I think you know it's fine either way okay so now let's use the auto brush I'm stripping a little bit Oh spit this out actually I'll be right back all right I'm back guys so see that's after using just the auto brush just the auto brush is it as effective you can see it definitely clean my teeth definitely clean you can see some of the pink in there actually you'd probably I don't know if you can but yeah clean my teeth is it as effective as like a regular toothbrush if all you're doing is this probably not I don't know I I'd have to test that I'm not gonna do that this is already a pretty long video so I probably will actually go do something to get the rest of the pink off my teeth or I'll run this again a few times but for just 15 seconds around 15 seconds it's pretty good and I would recommend it yes I do think it cleans your teeth but you I guess if I were to take away one thing from doing this video and all learning all this with the plaque tablet flossing is so important if you were to floss and not brush your teeth it could it's possible you're cleaning it to be better with just flossing and water picking but if you floss water pick and use this auto brush I think it's cleaning your teeth I haven't had a dentist appointment since I started using this like I said of women using it for about a week now maybe a little more so the real tests I guess will come and my checkup which is what everybody who buys these things lately says it just came out in July last year it's very new but for now yes I would say yes the auto brush does clean your teeth but no do not rely on only the auto brush to clean your teeth you need to floss you need to water pick you need to go to the dentist twice a year that's what I would say I hope you found this video helpful give a thumbs up if you did and see you around alright one last shot guys this is I went ahead and got rid of the rest of pink I used my I care I brushed on the sensitive mode we need to understand that those Sonicare toothbrushes are powerful and when you brush if you press really hard it's powerful and it's bad for your teeth it can hurt your enamel I've been told that at the dentist I brush too hard I've been told I floss too hard you really have to be gentle with your teeth you want to be a nice balance not too soft not too hard the auto brush definitely soft and it did get rid of some of the pink as you saw here but the Sonicare went ahead I I just did it right after I just showed you guys the auto brush without the flossing getting rid of the pink so between the auto brush and then the Sonicare afterward my teeth are like shiny white there's no pink anywhere left anywhere so definitely the Sonicare is more effective for brushing alone than the auto brush but I think that as long as you're flossing and using the auto brush I'm still going to say at this point I do think the auto brush is worth the investment I do think it cleans your teeth safely and gently hey guys so I'm just adding this final part of the video just to give you some additional information that I realized I didn't put clearly in the in my main video so here you can see first of all this is the auto brush official website this is where I ordered the product from the ad on Facebook or Instagram I think it was Instagram took me to this page this is where I ordered mine and so it cost me a hundred bucks basically to order this this product from the website itself I wanted to make sure it was the official product and not a knockoff and that's why I ordered it from the official website however after I ordered it now that I've received it and I've had more time to research and do what the things I can clearly see that Amazon as you can see here Amazon has the exact same product this is the this is the auto brush and this is the black color it's a different color you can also get it in white through Amazon you can't get the blue one which is the one I got but and look the price is only forty $1.99 it's way better deal and I've primed so I could get one day free one day shipping with it so so yeah if you're gonna order one I definitely would recommend going through Amazon to get it I'll put both these links in the description as I said for the reviews on Amazon which I did look at you can see that it has not many reviews right now there's only two five-star reviews and one one-star review which is just kind of not really reliable to show like whether or not a product is really worth it these two say yes I love this it's great it's not messy it does a great job cleaning your teeth yeah which is the same thing I would say yes absolutely this one-star heats it says this does not clean your teeth okay but and it's a verified purchase but it doesn't say why why is he saying it does not clean your teeth like it says three people found this helpful I don't really understand why I don't really know who is this guy Tim McGee or T Nick key what does he say he seems like he well he clearly reviews a lot of stuff so I don't know why so these are kind of extreme inside they're like 500 that one's three-star so I don't know I don't know why this guy says it doesn't clean your teeth like I said it's not gonna do the job like a sonic hair it's not the same as a sonic hair but if you're flossing I think it definitely brushes your teeth in a safe and gentle way and definitely cleans them good enough again the real test and this is what this other guy said here I'll show you he says the to try the true test is the next time I get my teeth cleaned that's how I feel as well so when I go the dentist after using this thing and not brushing but flossing but using this the auto brush to brush then I'll really know whether or not this cleans my teeth I believe it does based on the plaque test that I showed you guys in this video that's why I did it videos like hyper thorough but anyway just so you know okay so the things I was gonna say about the auto brush that you should know now after I finished that last video but before I finished editing all this so I'm adding this at the very end I realized that I'm accidentally didn't put it on the charger right so you really got to make sure when you put this thing on the charger it's it's very lightly so you can easily set it down the wrong way and then it's not charging so when I went to use it this morning when I got up I was going to show my dad how it works and it like died about 10 seconds into me turning it on and I realized it's because it was not sitting on the charger properly so needs to be on the charger at all times when you're not using it and that's how it's like charged and ready to go another thing I'll say any instructions it says that you're supposed to see a solid red light light up on the charging pad when it is finished charging but I left it on for over 24 hours and it did not show a solid red light and I know it was on the charger properly this is the first time when I took it out of the box and plugged it in the red light was flashing but it never turned solid so that means to me that it was never fully charged even after 24 hours so that's kind of ridiculous like it should be charged fully after 24 hours so I wanted to comment on that but also it was clearly charged enough after that 24 hour period I'm like you know what I'm not going to wait for the light to turn solid red it's flashing red it's clearly charged enough for me to use it and I used it and it was fine but make sure that you set the the unit this power base unit with the u-shaped thing on it make sure you set that on the charging unit so that it's aligned with the magnetic base otherwise it won't charge it which is the mistake I made this morning so now I made sure to put it on correctly for when I use it tonight now what else I already told you guys it doesn't come with it comes with a USB port to charge it but it doesn't come with the plug so you'll have to use your your plug if you have one of those all you have to get an extra one if you want to use I forget we call that thing the square box thing that plugs into the wall that you plug the USB into I really should know the technical term but I don't so anyway let's see what else oh yeah you have to count it unlike sonic hair sonic hair has a built-in timer the toothbrush that will time 30 seconds per quadrant and then beep and until two minutes and a lot of Mac we turn off auto brush does not have that feature you have to count 15 seconds to clean your teeth or however long you want to do you can do less than that if you want it recommends 15 seconds like you can see here so you have to do that as well so those are some things about the product that I think they could do better powder brush could do better make it a little more their charging system a little more effective and efficient and clearer and also make it clear make it so that the timer shuts off after 15 seconds they also don't have anything in their pamphlet it comes a little pamphlet informational pamphlet I read through the whole thing in the box and remember I ordered this from the website not from Amazon I ordered this from the website okay so I got this box it comes with a pamphlet in the pamphlet it does not say anything about three different modes but this thing depending on how you press the power button has three different modes so I'm assuming I tried to research online on their website but I did not see anything about three different modes so their websites kind of slow – this just gives you all the information I kind of told you yeah it's state of the art revolutionary it's it's awesome I mean I love this I think it's a great product as long as it works and it actually cleans your teeth that's what I mean by works because it definitely works but anyway in the instruction thing it doesn't say what the three different modes are you can just tell because you press the power button it lights the blue light that's the first thing it does you press it a second time it turns it on and that's the strongest vibration so I could tell that's definitely on and then finally if you if you hit it a third time it will go to a lighter vibration and then a fourth time and even lighter vibration so there's like three different maybe one of them's massage mode I don't even know but there's nothing about that in the instructions and I haven't found anything about that online which is pretty frustrating so I don't know what those modes are I can't even tell you but so these are some things that they could do better just saying with with their product this is their FAQ section on their website and yeah you know it's good it's nylon bristles it's very very gentle on your teeth and it's easy to clean – I didn't mention this in my main video it shows it on the Amazon thing here you can actually take off the where's a picture you can take off the the u-shaped thing to clean it here it shows there I don't know if you can see in the number one and then slide the person with their hand taking the the bristle thing off so you can take that off how do i assemble it yeah that says a full charge lasts 30 days but I just put it back on the charger every time I'm done using it because like I said my never showed a solid red light even after 24 hours leaving it on the common charger it never showed a solid light which was pretty frustrating so it's very temperamental you know you really have to make sure the auto brush the bottom of it the magnetic part is aligned perfectly because you can set it there and it'll look like it's line it's not really aligned so really in that way they could improve on like the charging port making sure it's not so it's not so easy to just set it there without knowing that it's charging because it won't really light up or show you that it's charging in any way oh look it tells you you can get extra brush heads you should replace them every two three months so that's another thing let's see how much does a new brush head cost cuz these are things you should think about oh and you did look okay so here's a new brush head oh eight dollars that's actually not bad one-time purchase or you could subscribe that's kind of cool actually seven dollars to save a dollar I'd be willing to do that seven dollars every every every three months yeah yeah that's be cool I keep that open actually for less okay so I do that let's see how long does it need to be cleaned once a month to avoid buildup of toothpaste residue rinsing in warm water and wiping with a soft rag or cloth it's a waterproof that's another thing I didn't mention this but it is basically waterproof don't dunk it under water that's a bad idea because it is still electronic but it's it's basically waterproof let's see yeah this is all accurate the package comes with all these things just 15 seconds to brush your teeth yeah see how it says three times for different vibration settings I didn't even see that in the in their instruction packet but it doesn't tell you what the vibration settings are you can just feel it so the first one the first vibration setting is the strongest I found so that's the one I use then adjust placement see this is the thing I've adjusted this thing a million times see how it says light will illuminate mine's always blinking so it doesn't really matter how I place it it's always blinking but it's clearly charged enough for me to be able to use it because I've been using it for over a week now so I don't know they really could improve on making the charging pad aligned with the product better that's one thing I would say huh alright guys so yeah that is what I would say my last thoughts on the auto brush I still think it's an amazing product you're gonna get one I would recommend this is the official website for you know wo Auto brush comm it's easy to remember but if you buy it here it's gonna cost you a hundred bucks if you get it from Amazon I'm telling you it's the same product and it costs forty $1.99 I get it from Amazon hope you guys found this helpful and thanks so much so just to prove to you guys how seriously I take personal grooming and hygiene I'm showing you all the products that I use either on a daily or at least bi-weekly basis to maintain my my grooming and personal hygiene so first of all I have a pretty basic deodorant here that I use just degree for men arctic edge it doesn't really flake and it's I don't know I kind of like it I've been using it for that too long though so should probably get another one I'm washing my face now they say men should wash their face with just people in general twice a day and that you should a moisture is it and exfoliate your face twice a week now through alpha M on YouTube Sherman Eve you've heard of him I decided to try the t's Handley Ortiz Hanley thing for a little while I did it for two months and you know it's not that it wasn't good it was really good I enjoyed using it but it's just quite expensive it's $25 a month and what it comes with for $25 a month that's level one in their cycle thing you get a daily face wash which is about this big it's a little bit bigger than these others but that runs out faster than anything else I've found even if you're using the the proper amounts for whatever reason it just runs out faster so you use that every day morning and night and then in the morning after you wash your face with that you put on this a.m. morning facial moisturizer and it has some sunscreen in it basically SPF 20 which is pretty cool and then at every night you put on the PM one before you go to bed and then twice a week you scrub your face after you wash it with the face wash with this this exfoliating thing and it feels pretty tingly it's it's you could tell it's high-quality definitely very high quality exfoliating wash there but just for financial reasons $25 a month is pretty steep for me so I decided to cancel the the teach Handley subscription that I had just for that reason but using it really did show me it doesn't make a difference washing your face and everything I will say I did still have acne I even feel like I had some more pimples show up when I was using teach Handley than before I was using it but that could have just been like a dietary thing or some other fluke thing did wasn't necessarily from the brand I think it is a high quality brand just kind of pricey for me so now what I've been doing whenever I shave which I shave at least twice a week sometimes more I use this face scrub by Neutrogena for men and it's kind of exfoliating not as much as the teach Handley one but it's it's good enough for me it just says make sure you're using sunscreen with it because it can make you more vulnerable to the Sun after you shave this one heavy man Jack it's a beard and face wash it smells amazing in my opinion it and yeah I use this to wash my face basically every day and my beard since I have a beard okay so that's my face washing the teen now styling my hair okay so you know I like alpha M on YouTube I think he's he has some cool videos and I like his Pete and Pedro products that I've used especially the hair once this is the hair styling stuff that I use this is the putty and it has a really good hold and it also has essential oils in it so it has some stuff in it it's good for your hair the ingredients here on the back and I haven't noticed that it causes my hair to to come out more that's too like I feel like I noticed that with other hair styling agents I used which is why I didn't I haven't been using those anymore like a pomade and stuff like that so I really like this I feel like it's good for your hair and it also has a really good hold and if you use it together with a sea salt it makes a difference that will hold your hair even better there's a way to do it where you you put about between a dime and a quarter size of this in your hand and then you exfoliate it you rub it together till it like disappears into your hand and then you put three sprays of this into that and then rub that together and then you put it in your hair evenly and apply it that way that's how I do my hair blow-dry it sometimes too with that okay so now dry skin during a California winter deal with the water you got dry skin sometimes in my hands I wash my hands a lot I dealt with some OCD for sure though so yeah aqua for this stuff is really great for for dry skin especially if you get like little cracks on your hands from from the dry weather so I use this a lot during the winter I put it all over my hands before I go to bed and their wear socks over my hands so it doesn't get all over my sheets cuz it's kind of a pain in the butt but I don't have to do this all the time just when my skin is particularly dry okay so that's a skin and now for let's talk about just taking showers so I don't necessarily know that it's good to shower every single day I think that it depends on your body and what what you're doing and the type of work that you do sometimes I do shower everyday if I'm doing more physical type labor but if I'm doing the type of work where I'm sitting at a desk I think it can be bad for your skin the shower every day so I think every other day can be better just kind of my opinion but anyway and what I've noticed my body my skin is drier my shower of the day so when I wash my hair I noticed that the shampoos I used to use really cheap shampoo but I switched over a few years ago about three or four years ago because I noticed it was just my scalp was always itchy even when I used the the type of shampoos and conditioners that had the anti dandruff or anti scalp itch ones it was still itching but I finally found one that I really liked and it's I'll be honest guys this is technically a women's brand of shampoo and conditioner it's called shea moisture but but it's really amazing for your hair like if you this is the shampoo I really like this particular one I've used a lot of other ones has seek help in argan oil in it which are both really good for your hair and and I just found it and make sure hair I feel really good it doesn't make your heritage as much now if you use any shampoo or conditioner every single day I've noticed that you'll see your scalpel edge from that just because our bodies aren't really used to that it's not really good for you but as a general rule I think this is this is a really good shampoo and this and and again this is the brand is Shea Moisture this one is the says moisture retention shampoo with raw shea butter as you can see this one has some years on it or some not years but I've used it quite a bit and you don't need much you know when you're using shampoo you just need a little bit I used to use a ton now I only use like a quarter size maximum you really don't want to use more than that it's bad for your hair this conditioner from that brand is my absolute favorite and I've used a lot of others but this one never makes my scalp itch I don't know what it is about this one but this particular one right here is just amazing makes your hair like silky soft after you use it again yeah it's a girl brand but I've heard there's controversy online too they say oh not even white women should be using it because it's more geared toward black women but because what honestly it's it's great for my hair and I I use it and it works great now I don't I used to use those everyday not so much anymore I tried the Pete and Pedro shampoo and conditioner this is the shampoo I haven't flipped upside down because it's almost time for me to replace them in the past year but this is the shampoo it smells like mint a very good smell and I definitely would recommend it it doesn't make my scalp itch feels really good and smells really good after you finished using it and then the conditioner that goes with that Pete and Pedro shampoo once again from alpha M on YouTube and this is the same company PT Pedro that the hair styling I use comes from this is the conditioner also an amazing conditioner I really like it also has that cool peppermint smell and whatever else they put in here I'm not 100% sure but but it definitely makes my hair feel very soft even after I use it it's not as soft as when I use the other one I showed you the Shea Moisture one but it's still really good ok this is shampoos this is actually also shampoo I've also used it as a face wash it's tango via organic baby shampoo it's also good for cleaning your eyes you need like clean your eyelids which I've had to do but it is kind of oily it's very smooth but it's kind of oily I feel like it might cause acne more I'm not 100% sure but yeah so that's that one now in terms of body washes here's the three that I like this one I started using most recently it's actually more expensive than these other two if I remember correctly but for me I have a lot of hair on my body because you can kind of see there's my arm there a lot of a lot of body here this is kind of dries out your body here and so I don't really like using it as much to be honest but it is high quality it smells good so what I like my two favorites are these ones this is my oldest favorite dial for men it's a hair and body wash this makes your hair feel super soft it's like a conditioner and it's really great for your body – it has a great smell to it um also now this one also very moisturizing it's uh I'm sure you've heard of a vino if you know a lot about lotion or like just moisturizing but it's a body wash and so I really like this one too for when I wash my body now shaving and this can also go with hair styling too before I switch to the Pete and Pedro hair styling I used to style my hair with argan oil with this brand right here Khandala argan oil argan oil.what is argan oil well it's talking to let's talk about argan oil and coconut oil for a second so coconut oil both of these are organic oils and they're very very good for you and they're highly moisturizing you can use them for all sorts of things I used to always shave when I would shave my face instead of using shaving cream I would just use this liquid coconut oil this is actually a less healthy form of coconut oil if you want the healthiest form you have to conformed it is kind of clumpy and comes in more of a jar and you have to scoop it out kind of like butter but during the winter like now this time of year it's very clumpy so you got to like rub it in your hand it's just kind of a pain so I would use this liquid one for shaving to kind of avoid that it works great for shaving your body and everything it's translucent so you can see what you're doing and shave but it does can cause acne and it's also very slippery if you shave like wouldn't you in the shower like I do when I shave I use this as a mirror right here I see and it has a built in I can mount it it has a mount so I put it on my on my mount in my bathroom and it has a built-in light on the side here if I press this button let me show you it's an LED light so I'm not even see but it lights up and so you can kind of see what you're doing if you have bad lighting in your shower like I do so anyway yeah when I shave I use that and then I used to use this coconut oil but still would recommend it but argan oil what makes it unique there's this thing called the I forget how you say it , no genic or something like that scale and this has a rating of zero on that scale and what that means is it will not cause acne there are pimples it will moisturize your skin very well it's also excellent for your hair and your nails it's good for all that but it will not cause acne and so I started using this as a hair styling agent actually and as long as you don't use too much it doesn't make your hair look too oily and it has a light hold I found I used to use this all the time I've styled my hair but I do like the Pete and Pedro and better now so now I've been using this for shaving I actually think it's better so eyes actually started buying though a bigger size this is quite pricy I will say I bought the bigger one that lasts longer and also comes with this cool little pump and just one pump and you can shave with that but yeah this is argan oil I would highly recommend it for shaving it's also clear or if any color has like a yellowish color to it that brand has a more yellowish color and this one's more clear but very good for shaving and then when I shave I use this well it's like a Gillette stick brand and it comes with these replaceable heads I change that heads out about once a month and to me like I've heard a dollar shave club and all that and it's kind of pricey to me for what you get you start the draw you in by saying okay five dollars for this month but then they charge you like $35 the $40 for every month after that and for me I think it's just cheaper to do what I've been doing had the same handle for a few years and then I just change out these heads I like shaving with a safety razor like this better because you get a smoother shave then if you do it with with like an electric razor you're just you're gonna be shaving more and it's gonna irritate your skin more at least from me when I use an electric razor but these kind of razors work great they're using these oils even better and you're washing your face even better you always wash your face before you shave your face and actually we're gonna shave anything you should wash the area before you shave it but yeah so what was I gonna say about this Oh last thing about shading so I found they say shave you know with the green always and I like doing that and I do that first everywhere I shave with the grain but then if you want an extra clean in close shave you can shave against the grain after you shave with the grain but always shave with the grain first yeah so this is just to show you guys that it's kind of just bonus content to show you just how much time I spend and think about a personal grooming and hygiene to show you that you know I I care about this stuff a lot and you know I'm not as OCD as I used to be but I still take personal grooming and hygiene very seriously so and my teeth especially because of all the effort that I put into taking care of them so finally for those of you guys that have beards like I do I wanted to talk about how I maintain and grim this so before I used to shave when I would shave I would shave the lines kind of like more at an angle in like an L shape so we'll come down here like this and it would cut across but then I kind of realized that just doesn't really look that great so if you're gonna have a beard like this or scruff or whatever you want to make sure that you shave kind of in this angle here between the line of your ear and the corner of your mouth and keep it so that your the upper part of your cheek here is is clean-shaven as you can see today I have a nice little friend there but yeah so and then for your neck you want to have about like two fingers above your Adam's apple and try to just have kind of a line there it goes across well it's not really a straight line it's just kind of a more little curved line that goes across two fingers above your Adam's apple that way you get all the hair shaved down here and then all the hair that is above there so I used my safety razor that I showed you guys in the shower with the argan oil to shave those areas at least twice a week sometimes three or four times a week depending on how particular I'm feeling about my shaving but to maintain the length of this and about like how long should it be so they've done Studies on like the best looking scruff like what the best length for if you're going for like a beard that's not a beard beard but just like scruff kind of like this and I actually haven't shaved since she's been about half a week almost now so this is after about half a week since I when I say shaved I mean I haven't trimmed I haven't trimmed my beard in about like half a week now but when I do trim it based on the studies they say that the best range you want to trim it to for the length of this is going to be between three millimeters and five millimeters three millimeters is very short it's too short for me in my opinion it almost looks like two blonde forever for me to short the ideal they did a study the ideal facial hair amount that that people like basically is 10 base how it looks after 10 days and the average guy after 10 days he grows his hair to between four millimeters and five millimeters and for me I got a shaver here it's a Philips Norco attachment and it or it's a philips norelco razor with a bunch of different attachments but one of them that comes with this is a silver one this is the velocity the 5000 I also have the 3000 I had the 3000 originally but this is the 5000 and the 5000 comes with a four millimeter attachment which is that ideal length and I've been using it for a while now and I think it's definitely this is the attachment it comes off like that see ooh still the hair all over my desk guys so so there's that and then you just put the attachment on I'm like we already slidin on there and it just snaps into place and then there you go there's the attachment now I'm gonna clean all this hair off my desk later so there's that and then the 3000 also has attachments it has a three millimeter and a five but it does not have a four millimeter attachment which is why I like this the silver one the 5000 this is the 3000 so this one though I use still as a nose hair trimmer it comes with one of those pretty I'm pretty Andy for those of us that need to trim my nose rings so that's why I use for shaving and how I maintain this
