Wellbeing Top Tips: Mental Health Awareness Week [CC] | akt



make sure that you've got a good support circle whether that's just one friend or a couple you can go to I find that having a good friend that you can just round to or you know just speak with about your problems they can tell you if you're being ridiculous or they can give you advice sometimes when a problem goes wrong I just panicked for a good half hour but what I find is that in the first few moments it's important to tap some perspective and pretend that it's happening to someone else and and in that moment you can think well what advice would I give to them and then going going through that you can take that advice yourself and help yourself out when I'm feeling particularly particularly anxious I write things down so it helps me really like practically experience perspective so because the voice in my head saying that like whatever it's saying and it actually doesn't mirror the reality of the situation I'm in sometimes what you don't realize is that stressing over a problem too much you get too focused on it and you need to take a step back sometimes maybe watch a TV show go to the cinema and then once you come back to it sometimes the problem isn't as big as it first appeared I find it really useful to go outside when I'm having a really bad mental health day sometimes it's not possible and part of that process is being really kind to yourself and like knowing that you know today I just can't get out of bed but when you can and when you want to do because the fresh air and going outside and like experiencing the world outside of where you are right now really helps you understand that it isn't everything and that your mind consumes all of this if you are struggling talk to someone you trust even if it's a friend or family member and there's also local services that you can always use it's really important to them that you're not alone in this and that seeking help can actually really improve the whole situation
